Her Past
Was in a 7 year relationship from age 15
Her ex cheated with her best friend and another girl, was emotionally and physically abusive, relationship ended about 3 years ago
Realized it was bad when she saw the look on her friend’s face to his texts and voicemails when she was hanging out with male friends
Her other ex thinks he was in the public eye, she hinted he's a basketball player, and doesn’t want her to talk about it. They were together 1 year.
Went through a really mean to guys phase after her abusive relationship
She needs to go to therapy, but hasn’t.
Nicole's time on Love Island
She applied for the show
A friend sent her the application and she had nothing to lose
She meant it when she told Kendall "I love you"
Post-show with Kendall, the leaked video
Had 1 night together before getting their phones back
She was supposed to go back to Dallas with him, but after the video leaked and he lied she decided not to
He only showed her the end of the leaked video
People kept checking on her and she didn’t know why, JaNa showed her the full video when they were filming
She saw it was his hotel room in Fiji before the show and that’s not what he told her
She got her own hotel room that night
They had one night before going to Universal after getting back from Fiji and they didn’t have time to talk
The show wanted to film their private discussion about the video, she said no
He said he was bored in the hotel and sent it to a girl on Raya when they actually got to talk about it
She doesn’t believe him
She picks and chooses her battles with him, because he gets defensive
She isn’t shaming him, but him saying he loves her and lying was not ok with her
Were still together when recording the interview
Thinks he has a good heart, but is a people pleaser and putting that above their relationship
She still wants to be there for him but she admits she doesn’t trust him
He didn’t want her to talk about him lying at the reunion
Nicole on Kendall kicking girls out of the VIP area of the club
She doesn’t think he’s racist
He told her it was only close friends and family in the booth and he didn’t take accountability
He also told her JaNa and Kenny were in on it and she said that’s not true
She was mad he didn’t tell her about it and assumed she’d just hear through the grapevine
On her relationship status with Kendall
She doesn’t like how he’s handling himself publicly, doesn’t want to be with someone who she has to tell how to act/be a good person
She is mindful of who she spends time with and what it will look like to the public and feels like he doesn’t do the same
Where do they go from here
She asked for advice from Natalie and Nick
The lying reminds her of her last relationship
She doesn’t know how to move forward or how many more chances she can give after being shown his true colors
She feels like she’ll get hate if she stays with him now (update: he ended it 2 days after the reunion)
She doesn’t want the “I love you” to be thrown away, has only said it to 2 guys in her life
Feels like trust has been broken and he hasn’t tried to focus on her
She doesn’t feel like what he says is genuine
He’s golden retriever she’s the black cat
Pause ***These political commercials will be the death of me***
Nick on his Viall Files interview with Kendall
Nick felt like when interviewing Kendall, he was talking to the person Kendall wanted him to see
Didn’t seem comfortable showing himself to the world
Presents as someone is open and doesn’t care what others think, but he does
Nick was strongly pushing for Nicole to break up with Kendall
Nicole's current relationships with others in the villa
She thinks her putting herself first will have a ripple effect on her relationships with others in the villa
Nick mentions she looks like more of an outsider
She is close with the girls but thinks people will pick sides
I have only seen a few The Viall Files episodes, but this one was the weirdest one to me. Everyone has their own style, but usually tries to remain neutral. Nick's talk with the other cast was more on the neutral but kind side. This seemed like a very long blast of Kendall and pushing Nicole to dump him. We definitely got a lot of missing context and Nicole's side of the story, but it felt like one very long drag of Kendall. Nicole did try to defend him and her staying in the relationship, but Nick and Natalie weren't really having it. It was pretty awkward.
What did you think about Nicole's interview on The Viall Files?
